Inspire2Enterprise is a social enterprise, a joint-venture between the University of Northampton and Exemplas, providing a unique free-to-access social enterprise support, information and advice service - from start-up through to initial growth and beyond.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs is hosting a one day workshop to help social enterprises and charities understand the variety of funding sources which are available, how to access them and what funders are looking for.
Lord Young, the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Enterprise, has carried out a recent review of the Social Value Act which has found it to have a ‘positive impact’ but there are barriers surrounding awareness, take-up, understanding and measurement. This has led to a recommendation not to extend it to include goods and works ‘at this stage’.
Supported by Big Issue Invest, the Bigger Together Social Finance Event is aimed at bringing social businesses of all stages together. Whilst finance is a key element to business development, there are many other factors which need to be considered in order to achieve success.
Now in its 14th year, the National Business Awards rewards success through innovation and provides the opportunity for companies to showcase their achievements. The awards ceremony will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 10th November 2015.
The fund, called Access – the Foundation for Social Investment, was announced by the Minister of Civil Society in December. It aims to help charities attract social investment and win public contracts, and has been established to fill gaps in the social investment market. The fund will be launching officially in March.
